A monthly Saturday night dedicated to hip-hop in the old school party style. Showcasing DJ Bacon, Danny Cool and special guest interstate and international DJs with skills. Djâ€™s play a blend of party hip-hop, funk and dope beats. With a music policy to please the party people and turntable trickery to turn heads, Extravaganza will rock your Saturday nights. Come check out the Extravaganza DJs scratching up the Workshop and laying down the finest collection of new underground and classic tunes. Extravaganza kicks off every 4th Saturday of the month at Workshop. Entry is absolutely free from 8.30pm- 3am.

DJ Bacon

DJ Bacon is a music lover who began collecting vinyl at the age of 12. With many years experience in various club, competition and festival environments, his commitment, skills and ability to move a crowd have become notorious. Genres he is particularly passionate about include Hip Hop, funk, soul and electro. Since 1998, he has independently produced, released and distributed a string of mix CD's that have gained him much respect as an original and motivated DJ who is constantly pushing boundaries. DJ Bacon has recorded and performed with artists such as Liones, Julez, The Master, Briztronix, Curse Ov Dialect, TZU and more. Performance highlights include supports for Grandmaster Flash, Ugly Duckling, Hilltop Hoods, Resin Dogs, Scribe, The Herd, Spiderbait and many more. DJ Bacon has performed at the highest national level at the Technics DMC DJ finals in 2001. DJ Bacon continues to release music as a DJ and with Briztronix and Liones, and plays regularly at venues all over Melbourne. DJ Danny Cool

I have been DJing since the late 90s around Melbourne playing hip-hop, funk, beats and what ever else is dope. My aim as a DJ is to have dope original tune selections, mixed well with turntable trickery to keep the punters entertained. Sometimes I pull it off. Before my entry into the world of DJing I spent 10 years playing drums in bands, from high school stuff to pub bands. I have been DJing at e55 for the last 6 years, my favourite gritty little basement; I also play regularly at The Black Cat in Brunswick St, Workshop and other random guest spots. I started Battling in 2005, entering into the DMC and ITF battles, didnt blitz either but had a great time and improved my skills expedientially. I've got a few mixes in circulation all on the DL.
